Bahar Nejat was born in Iran and pursued her formative academic and professional years in Tehran before relocating to Milan, Italy, to continue her doctoral studies. Her career trajectory reflects an uncommon breadth, beginning in product and service design before evolving into strategic marketing, creative direction, and scholarly research.
Nejat commenced her professional journey in 2016 as a Product Designer at Batis, where she developed foundational expertise in user-centred design. She subsequently joined Sobati Customs in a strategic planning capacity, before transitioning to UNITI by Babak Vosoughi, where she held dual roles as Strategic Marketing Analyst and Service Designer between 2018 and 2019.
Between 2019 and 2020, she served as Creative Director at Noor Marketing & Advertising in Tehran, overseeing integrated brand campaigns and leading a multidisciplinary creative team. During this same period, Nejat contributed to the University of Tehran’s Science and Technology Park as Designer and Marketing Planner for POLEZ, an early-stage startup, demonstrating her commitment to entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Further roles at HOLDING GROUP SHANA as Creative Marketing Specialist and at Brand Factory as Business Strategist solidified her profile as a versatile strategic thinker capable of operating across sectors and organisational scales.
In her current capacity, Bahar Nejat works as a Brand Consultant at Nejat Immigration and a research visitor at INSEAD Sorbonne University in France one of the world’s leading institutions for business and management studies. Her work bridges the gap between academic rigour and industry application, with a particular focus on brand marketing, consumer behaviour, and creative communication strategy.
